About Nijeria Jones, M.S., LPC-S, NCC, ABS

My name is Nijeria Jones, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Registered Supervisor based in Martinsville, Virginia. With over eight years of experience in the mental health field, I bring a unique blend of expertise in psychology, sociology, sexology, energy healing, and liberal studies. I am passionate about helping individuals and couples navigate their personal journeys toward healing, growth, and fulfillment.

I am the proud owner of Sexhale Services LLC, where I serve as an outpatient clinician and life coach. My practice focuses on fostering emotional wellness and empowering clients to embrace their authentic selves. My work is informed by evidence-based practices and a deep understanding of intersectionality, cultural sensitivity, and holistic healing.

I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Human Sexuality at the California Institute of Integral Studies, with a research focus on plus-sized Black women’s sexuality. My academic journey also includes:

My career has been diverse and enriching. I have worked as a Clinical Team Lead, Outpatient Counselor, Emergency Services Clinician, PACT Clinician, and more. These roles have allowed me to provide counseling to individuals, couples, and groups while supervising other professionals in the field.

In addition to my clinical work, I have contributed to academia as a Graduate Teaching Fellow at Radford University. My teaching experience reflects my commitment to education and mentorship.

I’ve also presented at national conferences such as the National Women’s Studies Association Annual Conference.

Entrepreneurial Ventures

In addition to Sexhale Services LLC, I am the founder of SoapsByJera, a handmade soap business that promotes self-care through natural products. I am also working on launching INKstant Notary LLC, expanding my entrepreneurial footprint.

When I'm not working with clients or pursuing academic endeavors, you can find me advocating for mental health awareness or crafting artisanal soaps that inspire relaxation and joy.
